Children learn Mandarin together in small groups on Zoom, with up to 8 kids per group. In Amsterdam we also run in-person groups on request.
The teaching is the same in both. The only difference is whether your child joins from home or in a classroom.
Our online groups have up to 8 children at the same level. That is small enough for every child to speak in every lesson.
Groups suit children who like company. They motivate each other, laugh together, and Chinese becomes something they share with friends.
Each lesson uses games, songs, digital flashcards and pictures. Afterwards every child gets a PDF of what was covered.
Friendly competition and shared jokes keep children paying attention for the whole lesson.
Team games, quizzes and role-plays only really work with a few children, so group lessons use them a lot.
Children from different countries join the same group online. All you need is a device with a camera and a stable internet connection.
Each child gets a PDF with the words and content covered, handy for review and for parents who want to follow along.
Online group lessons are scheduled based on availability and group composition. Pricing depends on group size, lesson duration, and frequency. Get in touch and we'll find a time and format that works for your child.
When our teachers are in the Netherlands, our in-person group lessons take place at a location in Amsterdam. Children and teenagers learn Mandarin together in a real classroom setting, with a native teacher, visual materials, and plenty of interaction.
Groups are kept small (maximum 8 children at the same level) so that every child gets real attention and can progress at a steady pace. The format works beautifully for schools, after-school programmes, language clubs, and groups of friends or siblings.
Lessons include games, songs, characters, and conversation practice, all tailored to the age and level of the group. After each lesson, every child receives a PDF with the key vocabulary and content covered.
In-person lessons create a level of focus and energy that is hard to replicate online. Children respond to each other, engage with the teacher, and naturally pick up more of the language.
With a maximum of 8 children per group, every child is seen and heard. The teacher can adapt to the pace of the group while making sure no one is left behind.
Groups are formed by age and level so children always learn at the right pace. From beginners to more advanced students, every group gets a programme that fits.
Each child receives a PDF with the key vocabulary and content covered. A simple, effective tool for review and for parents who want to follow along at home.

We group children by age and level so that every child can follow at a comfortable pace. New students are assessed briefly before being placed in the right group. If no group is currently available at your child's level, we'll let you know and add you to a waiting list.
A device with a camera (tablet, laptop or desktop), a stable internet connection, and Zoom installed. We send a link before every lesson. No other materials are needed to start.
The location is determined in consultation with the school, organisation, or group. We can teach at your school, community centre, or another suitable space in Amsterdam. We'll discuss options during the intake conversation.
Yes. Some children start online and later prefer the energy of the classroom, or the other way around. We're flexible and happy to discuss what combination works best.
If your child misses a group lesson, they receive the lesson PDF so they can catch up on the content. Make-up options depend on group availability, please contact us to discuss.
Lessons are taught in Mandarin and English. We use as much Chinese as your child can follow and switch to English when needed.
