Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 6 October 2026
These terms apply to all lessons booked with Marina Chinese. We have tried to keep them short and clear. If anything is unclear, just ask us.
1. Who we are
Marina Chinese is a trade name of Super Easy, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 80665330.
- VATExempt (language education, art. 11(1)(o) Dutch VAT Act)
- Emailhello@marinachinese.com
- WhatsApp+31 6 4956 5863
2. Lessons
- We teach Mandarin Chinese to children and teenagers aged 3 to 18. Lessons are booked by a parent or guardian.
- Lessons take place online via Zoom. In-person lessons in Amsterdam are only possible on request, when our teachers are in the Netherlands.
- After you book, we agree on the day and time of the lessons together. Lessons are given by Marina or by another teacher from our team.
- You need a device with a camera, a stable internet connection and Zoom. We send the lesson link before each lesson.
3. Prices and payment
- The prices on our booking page apply. Our lessons are exempt from VAT as language education, so no VAT is added. You pay in advance, online, through Stripe, by card or SEPA bank transfer.
- After payment you receive a confirmation and an invoice by email.
- A discount code can only be used under the conditions stated with it. A trial lesson code can be used once per student.
- Prices for group lessons and in-person lessons are agreed separately.
4. Lesson packages
- A package is valid for 6, 12 or 24 months from the date of purchase, as shown on the booking page. Lessons that have not been used by the end of that period expire.
- In special circumstances we can extend the validity of a package. Please contact us to discuss it.
- You can book lessons for several children with one email address. Each child has their own lesson balance.
- On request, unused lessons can be transferred to another child in the same family.
5. Rescheduling, missed lessons and late arrival
- You can reschedule a lesson free of charge if you let us know at least 48 hours before it starts.
- If you reschedule or cancel less than 48 hours before the lesson, or if your child does not attend, the lesson counts as used.
- If your child joins late, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time.
6. If we cannot teach
If we have to cancel a lesson, or the teacher cannot start the lesson at the agreed time, we will offer a new lesson free of charge. If we cannot offer a suitable new time, you get the lesson back as credit or, if you prefer, a refund for that lesson.
7. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
As a consumer in the European Union you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of booking, without giving a reason. To do so, send us an email or a WhatsApp message.
- If no lessons have been given yet, you get the full amount back.
- When you book, you ask us to start the lessons within these 14 days. If you then withdraw, you pay for the lessons that have already been given, calculated proportionally at the package price, and get the rest back.
We refund within 14 days, using the same payment method you used.
8. Refunds after 14 days
After the withdrawal period, unused lessons are not refunded. Because lessons can be transferred to another child in the family (see section 4), they do not have to go to waste. Section 6 (if we cannot teach) always applies.
9. Photos and recordings
We do not use photos or videos of your child without your permission. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
10. Liability
We do our best to give good lessons, but we cannot guarantee a particular result. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the lessons concerned, except in the case of intent or gross negligence. We are not responsible for problems with your own internet connection or equipment.
11. Questions and complaints
If you are not happy with something, please let us know at hello@marinachinese.com or on WhatsApp. We will respond within 14 days and look for a solution together.
12. Applicable law
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you live in another country, you keep the protection that the consumer law of your own country gives you.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. Lessons you have already paid for remain subject to the terms that applied when you booked.
